The holidays are over, the decorations need to be put away, the new toys have already become old, the diet isn’t going well and, baby, it’s cold outside. We’ve got just the place–The Firelight Inn on Oregon Creek Duluth Bed and Breakfast!
We’re celebrating all year long during 2010 because the historic home of George G. Barnum is celebrating 100 years of history this year. During the month of January when you reserve a two-night stay, we will give you two tickets to tour the Fairlawn Mansion in Superior, Wisconsin. We’ll give you printed directions just over the Duluth High Bridge to Superior to enjoy the beautiful Victorian mansion and learn its history. The Fairlawn Mansion is open seven days a week so you can enjoy a midweek getaway or weekend getaway. The winter hours for tours are Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. or Sunday through Thursday Noon to 4 p.m. Their gift shop is amazing!
Duluth, Minnesota is also the perfect place for down hill skiing and cross-country skiing with miles and miles of trails for skiing of all levels. Bring your snowmobiles and enjoy the North Shore Trail or Willard Munger trail for hours of beautiful trail riding. Our snowmobiles haven’t been out yet this year–we’re hoping for some time next week to enjoy Mother Nature on the sleds!
It’s not too early to be thinking about Valentine’s Day! Make your plans now for a romantic getaway to The Firelight Inn. Make sure to reserve roses, romance baskets, soup suppers, massage therapy for your Valentine! We’re happy to help make your bed and breakfast experience a treasured memory.
