With a little free time Innkeepers travel up the north shore of Lake Superior

Innkeepers of The Firelight Inn took some free time to travel up the shore of Lake Superior this week to enjoy one another and get some rest and relaxation. We headed up the scenic highway along the lake enjoying the sights along the way. We found a secluded spot and enjoyed some quiet time as the reflection of the setting sun on Lake Superior soothed our souls.

We sat on a rock and watched as the sky darkened, skipped a few rocks, and just listened to the sound of the waves hitting the rocks and shore. Dinner was enjoyed at one of our favorite restaurants–Northern Lights in Beaver Bay. We sat outside and savored each bite and each moment. After a good nights sleep we again enjoyed the view of Lake Superior and its cool morning breeze. We return to The Firelight Inn on Oregon Creek Duluth Bed and Breakfast refreshed, renewed and ready to greet guests at our front door.

This weekend we are happy to greet returning guests staying for their 7th and 11th stays, guests attending a high school reunion and more celebrating a birthday. We will be attending Jim’s daughter’s wedding in Grand Forks, ND on Saturday but the Inn will be in good hands while we are away.
