A certified Massage Therapist is available for relaxation massage by appointment. Just walk down the stairs or hallway in your Firelight bathrobe to the massage suite, equipped with one stationary massage table, luxurious linens, aromatherapy, soothing music, and candlelight. Jojoba oil, blended with essential oils, is used for your relaxation massage. You will be able to choose the essential oil blend that works for you or the highest quality massage cream. If you prefer, pure, unscented Jojoba oil is available. You will be offered an aromatherapy pillow for your eyes during your massage, and hot towels for your back and your feet will be applied at the end of the massage. Pampering yourself and your loved one with a couple's massage in our massage therapy suite is the perfect way to enhance your romantic spa weekend getaway, honeymoon, or anniversary celebration. A massage getaway package is also a wonderful way to show your loved one just how much they mean to you.

Experience a taste of paradise with a Thai Herbal Ball Treatment.  A traditional Thai massage treatment combines Swedish massage strokes and Thai stretching with warm herbal balls to help relax, detoxify, increase blood flow, and stimulate the lymphatic fluid.  The muslin balls are filled with Thai herbs and spices including lemongrass, turmeric, prai, kaffir lime, camphor, and tamarind.  The Thai herbal balls are steamed and the warm bundles are then applied directly to the skin.  Thai massage is documented as far back as 3,000 years and is believed to trace as far back as 5,000 years.  This ancient art has been used as a way of life for centuries in treating physical ailments, and, more recently, in enhancing relaxation, rejuvenation, and pleasure.

Thalassotherapy uses sea products in body treatments. The skin is the body's largest organ, second in complexity only to the brain. Pamper the skin you're in with a detoxifying seaweed wrap with Lotus Touch® Klamath Blue-Green Algae. Relax while nutrients from the sea nourish your skin and chlorophyll detoxifies. Relaxation massage following the wrap further relaxes you and tones the skin by stimulating circulation. A 90-minute treatment includes the seaweed wrap and shower followed by a relaxation massage.

Ever wish your partner was a massage therapist? In the Couple's Massage Package, you and your partner will explore the science behind massage therapy and learn some professional massage techniques you can do at home. The two-hour package includes a 40-minute demonstration session, a "Massage for Couples" pamphlet of 'the basics' to take home, and two, 40-minute massages. There is one massage table in our Woodland Suite; therefore, massages will be scheduled one at a time.

Massage therapists are available by appointment on weekdays, evenings, and weekends. The charges are: $95 for a one-hour massage; $130 for a 90-minute massage; $145 for two, 45-minute massages. The Hot Stone massage therapy is available for one hour for $115.  A 90 Minute Seaweed Wrap with relaxation massage is $145.  The two-hour Couple's Massage Package is $195.  The 90-minute Thai Herbal Ball Treatment is $135.  Payment for massage services are paid to The Firelight Inn on Oregon Creek.  Tips may be given directly to the therapists.  For scheduling purposes, advanced notice is preferred.  Treat yourself to a massage on your visit to our Duluth Bed and Breakfast!
