October 13, 2012 “Jim and Joy, Red, gold and orange leaves overlooking Lake Superior. Surrounded and spoiled in cozy comfort. We absolutely loved the skylight and thoroughly relaxed in the jacuzzi. You’ve provided a marvelous escape–even if we have to return to the real world–and we won’t forget your hospitality! Jim–I can’t help but believe you’d have been the perfect Butler at the Congdon Mansion because you’ve been the perfect host here at the Firelight. Joy–you are perfectly named. Your warmth and your wonderful meals will leave our mouths watering at the mere memory of breakfast at The Firelight Inn. D&J”

“Joy and Jim – It was lovely to return to the Firelight to celebrate yet another birthday–always the highlight of our summer. Michael’s choice was the Superior Suite this year–it had been a while since we had been up here. The new carpet is gorgeous–when the early morning light hit it, it almost looked like waves. Such a comfortable, relaxing place. We are always in awe of all you do to provide such a welcoming, special haven for your guests. 8/18/12 This was our second visit to The Firelight Inn. We celebarted my husband’s birthday in December and just had to check it out in the summer to celebrate our First Anniversary! The breakfast was wonderful as usual. We have ordered the soup supper for two each time we have been here and it is so delicious and filling. We were previously in the Isle Royale Suite and now in the Northwoods Suite. It is our goal to stay in all of the suites! XOXO, H&M, Duluth, MN P.S. Love the jacuzzis. PPS. The history, views, service, location and many more was delightful. This was our first and most definately not our last.
